In this hands on class we’ll take a cabbage and make it sauerkraut! This beginner class will introduce you to the basics of fermenting and how to preserve farm vegetables. You’ll be sent a list of supplies if you want to make alongside me, and a few of my favorite fermenting recipes to try out at home.

Intimidating by sourdough bread? Don’t be! Baking sourdough is an easy addition to the homestead kitchen, a skill even non-bakers can master the basics of and become that little bit more self sufficient. This class will be a live demonstration of starting a loaf of country white sourdough bread, and will go over waking a dormant starter, feeding your starter, and what exactly discard is. Attendees will receive some recipes to work with at home, and a list of supplies for baking alongside me or to refer to as they start their bread journey.
